Alice D. (Ash) Maglio, 86, of Providence, passed away peacefully, on February 15, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Alice was the beloved wife of the late David E. Maglio, Jr, D.O. Born on October 15, 1937, in Quincy MA, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Richard and Albina (Nee DuPont) Ash. Alice graduated in 1959 from Emmanuel College, Boston, MA.

Alice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother known for her kindness and faith. She and her husband raised their family in Warwick, later moving to Providence. She spent time volunteering, side by side, with her husband at The St Vincent de Paul Ministry at St. Charles Borromeo Church in the West End of Providence.

She leaves behind her two sons, David Maglio and his wife Jane Maglio of Barrington, and Joseph Maglio, M.D. and his wife Nancy Maglio of West Hartford CT; and three daughters, Gia Maglio, Elise Maglio, and Laura Sullivan and her husband Keith Sullivan, all of Providence; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Kinniburgh and Patricia Tramontozzi.

The family would like to extend its appreciation and gratitude to the care Alice received from HopeHealth Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 10 AM at St. PIUS V CHURCH 250 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Ministry, 178 Dexter St., Providence, RI 02907.

Arrangements entrusted to the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
